This is a perfect course for anyone looking to learn the basics of Indian classical tabla. The course will take around 32 sessions (may vary individually). The course focuses on learning to read, write and play basic bols, thekas, taal and their classical notations. The teaching will include simple and easy to follow interactive lessons to improve your ability to recognise pitch and rhythms by careful listening.

 

The course will also include carefully crafted exercises in the important areas, for regular practice. By the end of this course, you would have developed a solid foundation for the basic bols, thekas & taal. You will be evaluated using theoretical and practical exams, and awarded a certificate on successful completion of the course.

Having cleared the Beginners course, you would be now ready to start intermediate & advanced level courses.

Like in Beginner level, the teaching will include simple and easy to follow interactive lessons to improve your ability to recognise pitch and rhythms by careful listening.

The course will also include carefully crafted exercises in the important areas, for regular practice. You will be evaluated using theoretical and practical exams, and awarded a certificate on successful completion of the course. This will also make you ready for the advanced level course.
